Tis' the season to be jolly!

So it's the time we've all been waiting for, CHRISTMAS! And I know that I am definitely excited to open all my presents under the tree tomorrow morning! This blog post is to mainly (if you're not already) put you in the Christmas spirit! How I'm going to do this is to give you links of some of my favourite Christmas songs and give you some exciting festive pictures to look at. However none of these photos have been taken by me as I have been a very busy bean recently and haven't had enough time to take my own. Although I will make sure I take plenty of photos over Christmas day and I'll give you an update on how my Christmas day went!

My Top 5 Christmas Songs:
1. Wizzard - I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday
2. Slade - Merry Christmas Everybody
3. The Pogues & Kirsty McColl - Fairytale of New York
4. Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You
5. Wham - Last Christmas and
The Only Way Is Essex Cast - Last Christmas

The Day I went Photography Mad!

Around two weeks back I was round my dads house. We went to the cemetrey to visit my uncles grave and added new flowers to make it look more fresh and ready for the autumn/winter seasons to come. I did bring my camera with me just in case there were any good flowers to get some shots of and indeed there was! Here are a few examples of the shots I got!

I didnt want to bore you with to many flowers so I only added 4 photos, but I think thats enough of a taster to show you what I did with my day! Anyway I have to say goodbye for now, but I will make sure I make a few more blog posts on my half term experiences! Have a good rest of the weekend, and a good half term week, Cheerio!

Film Star Fancy Dress!

Hey Guys!
Just going to talk to you about an up coming event in my life. On Saturday I have my step sisters 30th birthday party to go to, and the theme is film stars. I had a bit of a struggle trying to decide what to go as. I considered things like Snow White, Elizabeth Swann (from Pirates of the Caribbean) and Marilyn Monroe…But I finally came up with...*drum roll*...One of the Pink Ladies from Grease!

I only decided last night and went on to an amazing website called
Party Delights, I was really impressed with the selection of costumes they had and thought they were reasonably priced. The outfit includes some shiny black leggings, a satin look pink ladies jacket and four iron-on name badges so you can choose which character you want to be, which I think is really good so you can have a think about what you're going to do and you can use it more than once by doing different characters.

If any of you want to look at the costumes I have bought click on the link
HERE.

Check the website out and let me know what you think..

Fashion Haul!

Only a quick one today guys but I'd just thought I would show you some of the stuff that I’ve bought throughout the past couple of weeks.

The first thing is this ivory jumper that I bought from Primarni (aka Primark) for…*drum roll* £12.00! Bargain or what? I LOVE IT! It’s so soft and even though it’s got a fair amount of holes in it he keeps you really warm and snuggily.

The second thing is this small brown bag that is also from Primarni for an amazing £4.00, it’s got lots of different compartments and has an adjustable strap! It’s really practical and was a real bargain!

My last and final item was this ring from New Look it was priced at £3.00 and I think that the diamonds were a really nice touch!

Butterfly Cakes!

I’m doing something a bit different today, more of a diary entry of my day? My sister was round today (littlemisspradatini) and we decided to make butterfly cakes. We were quite excited and were looking forward to the outcome of what was supposed to be some amazing, well presented cakes. This however was not the outcome and it was a disaster from start to finish, and I’m not over exaggerating.

We started off by adding all the ingredients into a mixing bowl, and beat it all together; this part was actually going quite well. We scooped the mixture into the cakes cases and stuck them into the oven, this also went considerably well, but this was when the trouble started. My sister realised we didn’t have enough butter to complete the butter cream for the top, so I had to nip out to the shops and grab some, but me being the silly billy that I am I forgot to bring my phone and my keys (which you will soon find out why this is such a stupid thing to do!), so my sister couldn’t contact me to tell me that we didn’t have enough icing sugar either… So not only did I go out to the shops but my sister did to. We managed to bump into each other half way which was when she told me what had happened.

(Eggs, Sugar, Butter and flour!)

We were walking back and realised that neither of us had a key, but then suddenly remembered we did leave the back door open, (Thank God!) this was definitely a good thing because 1. We wouldn’t have been able to get in and 2. We left the oven on….
(Scooping the cake mixture into the cases!)(Going into the oven, lets hope nothing goes wrong!)

I sprinted back to the house to make sure the cakes didn’t burn and that the house hadn’t gone up in flames. We got back and started to make the butter cream, which was a little disaster in its self. My sister added the butter and icing sugar into a bowl and started to mix it together, this wasn’t going well it looked more like breadcrumbs then a silky smooth butter cream mixture! We both got quite stressed out by this and we even started to make another mixture, when my sister remembered we should probably add some water (as icing sugar reacts with water…duh!), so we did and everything suddenly became better, it looked like a normal butter cream mixture! We finished the cakes off and started to relax because as you can probably imagine this was a very stressful experience. I’m personally just happy that it’s over, and I can tell you now I won’t be making butterfly cakes for a while…

(In the oven and a reflection of me!)

(They're out!)

Barry M Cosmetics!

It’s only a quick review today but I felt it had to be done. Because I feel now since I have bought this item, I literally couldn’t live without it! This product would be Barry M’s Bright Red lip paint, shade 151.

I bought the lipstick around 3 weeks ago, and have used it constantly since! With me having such a tanned natural skin colour, I was a bit worried abut whether it would suit me and whether it would make my teeth look a horrible grotty yellow colour (because as my sister told me ‘you’ll know if a red lipstick suits you by the colour it makes your teeth’ yellow meaning it doesn’t suit you and white obviously meaning it does!) but it didn’t, it looked perfect, even if I do say so myself!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the colour and I really think it makes my eyes look a lot fuller and brighter! With Barry M being of such a high quality I was a bit shocked when the price was only £4.49, but I must say I am so pleased with the outcome and would happily buy this product again or even buy it in different colours!

This Seasons Hairstyles!

Hey guys, sorry I haven’t been blogging in while, been really busy, but I hope that wherever you are you’re having a great summer jam-packed with lots of sun!

I decided to write about popular hairstyles that have been featured in magazine shoots and on the runway.

Simple Ponytail

©      The first hairstyle is just a simple ponytail; brush your hair making sure there are no knots or bumps. Sleek your entire hair back off your face and secure with a hair band. This hairstyle is really popular on the runway this month and will be a really hot look for next season.

Plaited Pony

©      The second hairstyle is again really quick and simple, which you will be able to complete in a couple of minutes! We call it a plaited ponytail! Starting off with the same thing we did with the simple ponytail brush your hair making sure there are no knots then scrape all your hair back and tie up in a ponytail using a hair band. Then with the hair secured in a ponytail start to plait your hair. If you’re not sure on how to do this I will try and explain the best I can. Separate your hairs into three sections, starting with the right strand take it over the top of the middle strand and place it in the middle. Then with the left piece of hair take that over the top of the middle piece and place it in the middle. You continue with this technique until you reach the end of your hair and you secure it with a hair band. (This hairstyle was included in popular fashion magazine LOOK which was released 22nd August 2011)

The Quiff

©      Now for our last hairstyle. This last hairstyle goes really well with the rock chick look, but can be made to look even more girly and feminine. This is what I call ‘The Quiff’. It’s really easy and you can style it with straight hair, curly hair, wavy hair or even have it with the two styles I have described above! Start off by brushing all your hair then from the front of your head going back around 2 inches take a chunk of your hair. Hold up your hair and pull tightly then with a brush backcomb the back of your hair right at the root this just gives your hair a bit of volume and helps to keep everything together. Once you’ve completed that hold your hair on the top of your head and push the piece of her forward making a small bump. This is going to be your quiff so tweak it any way you want and secure it with bobby pins.

All these looks are really quick and simple and can be completed within 5 minutes. These hairstyles are perfect for school or work and are even great for completing an outfit before you go out partying. I hope you find my instructions easy to understand if not please feel free to comment and I will upload a YouTube video of the style.

James Brown Beginner

I’ve recently used James Brown’s hair products. I actually used his Richly Moisturising Shampoo and Richly Moisturising Conditioner (for dry hair) for the first time today and my hair is soft and shiny, which really is any girls dream, right? It’s really easy to use and does what it’s supposed to do.

When you first squeeze the shampoo out of the tube it doesn’t look very nice; it looks like a white milky jelly-like mixture and you get a bit worried wondering whether you should put something looking like that on one of your most treasured features. But don’t worry girls it’s completely safe! When you first put it into your hands and try to lather it up it’s not very easy to do. You have to stand there for a minute or two and really work at your scalp area then pull up the ends and make sure they're fully covered with the shampoo.

Another down side to the shampoo and conditioner is the fact that you have to leave it in for a long time and for people who just want to quickly wash their hair before they go out; it can be quite time consuming. The shampoo has to be left in for at least 2 minutes and the conditioner has to be left in for 5 minutes!

For 250ml the shampoo and conditioner are priced at around £6.00 each, which for a brand of such high quality is actually quite affordable.

I’ve used the Heat Protect Spray a few times and it does its job! It protects your hair and makes your hair feel really soft. And again it leaves my hair with a nice healthy shine.

I must admit I haven’t actually used the straightening balm yet. But for someone who straightens they’re hair as frequently as I do I should probably start!

Liz Earle Crazy!

Liz Earle's range is really the best skin care range you could ever use!
It's great for all ages and skin types! I got into the products after my mum got completely hooked! She started me off with just the Skin Repair Moisturiser, Normal Combination and I loved it! The texture on my skin is great, it's really light and not to heavy! Who really wants a moisturiser that feels like concrete's drying on your face?

Once I had used that I started using the Superbalm , the Instant Skin Boost Tonic, Spot-On and the Pink Lip Shimmer (as shown in the picture below.). It made my skin look and feel really fresh, I was literally spot free after using her products!

If you're a Liz Earle virgin check out her website Liz Earle's Website and BUY BUY BUY! They really will change your skin!
